We have been operating chat sites since 1995. We know finding a cleaner and safer chat room for your kids is hard to do. When you do find one, however, you want to make sure the operators are mature and experienced. We are a private company with extensive experience in operating high traffic chat sites of over 25,000 daily chatters. Our commercial chat site operating experience goes back to late 1994. That's a long time in Internet years!

KidChatters™ has been around for over 7 years (since March, 1997). We have been very careful to grow slowly in the first few years so as to maintain our child safety priorities.

KidChatters™ evolved out of our concern for the safety of young chatters. One of our major chat sites was for adults. Many of the parents there expressed the need for a safer place for their kids to chat. So, in early 1997 we obtained the domain name KidChatters.com and set about the business of developing a safer chat site for kids ages 9 to 12.

Our founder, and owner-operator, ChatBob,  is a mature parent who understands the need for child safety on the web.  ChatBob has made it his mission to find a cost effective way to provide a safer place for young kids to have fun chatting on-line. In addition to ChatBob's many years of web development experience, ChatBob and his wife Marie (married for 33 years) are the proud parents of two daughters who have grown into successful young adults. We think the maturity of a successful parent combined with seasoned Internet chat service experience is critical to providing a safer chat environment for kids.
