Our Kids Secure WebMail™ (email) connects with KidChatters™ Members only! As with our other services such as the community chat room and Instant Messaging, only registered members can communicate with each other. When using our email program no emails can be sent to any email address other than a kidchatters.com email address. Also, no email can be received by our email program unless it is from a kidchatters.com email address. This "closed network" approach to email is very important to your child's online security because your child is not exposed to solicitations for personal contact information from outside, unknown sources.

Our Kids Secure WebMail has a simple user interface making it easy for kids to use. Nothing complicated about our WebMail's user client. Our WebMail is designed with the needs of kids in mind. While it is limited in some features to keep its use safe, it's loaded with the right features to make it fun to use.

We screen (filter) the content of all emails before they are sent. The screening (filtering) of content is accomplished BEFORE an Email been sent. If unauthorized content is detected, the email is prevented from being sent until the unauthorized content is deleted. Our Online Chatter Rules give our child users a clear guideline as to what is considered acceptable or unacceptable content.

Repeated abuse is automatically stopped. Each time the Warning Bee Filtering System detects unauthorized content the user is given a Cyber Bee Sting warning . If the child continues to try and send the unauthorized content and accumulates 10 Cyber Bee Stings, the user's access to the KidChatters Kids Secure WebMail™ service is automatically blocked. When access to the WebMail service is blocked, a KidChatters™ Disciplinary Action Notice is sent to the parent's registered email address. The WebMail service is not activated again until one of our monitors are able to counsel with a parent.

All emails are logged and the content recorded. If there is ever a problem with emails your child is receiving we are prepared to help in identifying the sender. Problem with most other service providers is that they log the emails but only the header information. Seldom is there an actual record of the full content. We have yet to have to use this capability, but we want you to have some peace of mind that we can get to a problem if necessary.

When using our Kids Secure WebMail™ (email) your child is no longer exposed to offensive obscene spam. Our closed WebMail (email) program frustrates spammers because they simply cannot get through. This helps to reduce a parent's concern that their child will be unnecessarily exposed to a spammer's offensive and often obscene adult material. Moreover, our members are prevented from spamming internally because they are only permitted to send to a maximum of 6 users at any one time.
